Eating responsibly doesn’t mean you have to give up all the temptation food… but portion control becomes critical. If you feel like a bit of chocolate cake, but are the sort who’d eat half the pan in front of the TV, here’s a recipe to satisfy your craving but keep you from wolfing down a stupid amount of empty calories. Think of it as an easy-bake oven recipe for adults.
Five Minute Chocolate Cake
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 3 tablespoons oil
- A small splash of vanilla extract
- 1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high). The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT!
This will serve two. Reduce the recipe by half if you’re eating alone, fatso.
